Download the app
Smartable Wallet for Android is distributed as an APK file. Google Play and the App Store are coming later.
What your phone needs
Section titled “What your phone needs”- Android 11 or later
- A 64-bit ARM phone (arm64-v8a)
Where to download
Section titled “Where to download”- getsmartable.app/get — the download button leads to the official APK.
- Releases on GitLab — the same file, with its checksum and release notes.
The website links to the official APK hosted in our GitLab releases. We cannot vouch for files distributed through other sources. A copy of the official APK may turn up elsewhere, and where a file was downloaded from cannot prove on its own where it came from — verifying the APK can.
Installing
Section titled “Installing”Android installs a file from outside an app store only after you allow it for the app that opens the file — usually your browser or file manager. Android asks the first time.
Updates
Section titled “Updates”The app does not update itself. New versions are published on getsmartable.app and in the GitLab releases, each with its checksum and signing certificate fingerprint. Each new version is a new file: check it the same way before you install it.
Android installs an update over an existing copy only when it is signed with the same key, so a file signed by anyone else cannot replace the app you have.
